It all started when…

● 1999 - Wisconsin Outdoor Access is founded 

● ~2005 - First Governor Dodge Boulder Bash 

● 2011 - WOA becomes Wisconsin Climbers Association 

● 2011 - Century Challenge & beginning of relationship with Friends of Devils Lake

● 2012 - Old Sandstone Trail Project with Access Fund Conservation Team 

● 2016 - Abelman’s Master Plan & beginning of relationship with Wisconsin DNR 

● ~2017 - AAC Craggin Classics begin & WCA provides annual stewardship project

● ~2017 - Altay Classic and Devils Lake Bouldering competition debuts 

● ~2018 - Crash pad rentals begin 

● 2018 - WCA receives IRS nonprofit status 

● 2019 - Stewardship grant is introduced 

● 2019 - Access Fund Community Ambassador program begins - board invites non-board members to participate in regular board meetings 

● 2020 - $10,000 crowd-funded initiative for Access Fund Conservation Team visit at Devils Lake

● 2020 - JEDI grant is introduced 

● 2021 - Membership tiers are introduced 

● 2022 - Structured tabling and similar outreach events are introduced 

● 2022& 2023 - Rib Mountain master plan released and includes climbing 

● 2023 - MCA / WCA collaborate for Interstate Park meetup 

● 2023 - Access Fund Ambassador program ends 

● 2024 - WCA initiates first strategic plan
